Our Story

In late 2002, I was laid off from my job as an IT and project manager on Wall Street. I was a single father at the time, and I needed steady work fast to support my daughter — but after a layoff like that, jobs weren’t easy to find. So I got my taxi license in New York City and started driving.

It didn’t take long before I realized I could do more than wait for dispatched fares. Years before rideshare apps existed, I taught myself how search engines worked and how to bring in my own customers directly — a lot of trial and error, long before most small business owners had ever heard the term “SEO.” That self-taught approach grew into a real business serving New York City, Long Island, Westchester County, and parts of Connecticut and New York — areas we still serve today through trusted local partners.

After COVID, I relocated to the Albany/Rotterdam area and started over, applying the same hands-on approach that had worked in the city. That’s how Albany Airport Taxi (operating as US Limo and Taxi) was born, and we’ve been operating and expanding across the Capital Region, Hudson Valley, Adirondacks, and into Vermont and the Berkshires ever since.

What We Do Today

We provide door-to-door taxi, car, and SUV service to and from Albany International, JFK, LaGuardia, Newark, Boston Logan, and NYC, plus long-distance trips, courier deliveries, wedding guest transportation, corporate transportation, and self-pay non-emergency medical transportation — with a mix of in-house and trusted independent local drivers across our 23-county service area. We also get people to and from the hotels, colleges, wineries, and attractions across the region.
